Welcome to Jane’s Place!

Chaffee County is a special place built around an incredible landscape and close-knit community. Yet our valley faces myriad challenges, and principal among these challenges is access to housing for the diverse and growing workforce, families and individuals in crisis, Americorps volunteers, and more who all strive to call this place home. The Chaffee County Community Foundation (CCCF) together with the Chaffee Housing Authority (CHA) propose an innovative and flexible housing project near the heart of downtown Salida at the intersection of 3rd & Highway 291 called Jane’s Place.

Jane’s Place was featured on Next, with Kyle Clark!

Janes Place was featured on the October 20, 2021 segment of Word of Thanks, with Kyle Clark. Kyle’s segment, highlighting this important project, prompted hundreds of donations, big and small, in support of Jane’s Place.

We are thrilled with the outpouring of public support and positive feedback from Kyle Clark’s program.

The Jane’s Place Celebration and Fundraiser on September 23, 2021, graciously hosted by Don and Pam Dubin, was a HUGE success.

June 1, 2021

Salida City Council unanimously approved Jane’s Place for development! A month later, another unanimous decision allocated an initial grant of $50,000 for pre-development was also approved!
