Safety Net

Beginning in early 2025, working with the Chaffee County Leadership Roundtable, CCCF convened the Safety Net Leaders Group — a coalition of leaders from organizations and agencies that provide essential, immediate-needs services across Chaffee County. The group works together to ensure our community’s safety net remains strong, coordinated, and accessible to those who need it most.

To support this effort, the CCCF Board has activated the Emergency Response Fund, directing resources to specific projects identified by the Safety Net Leaders.

Call to Action

As our community navigates the current challenges created by federal program disruptions, this page will share real-time community calls to action — ways you can step in and help when needs arise.

Current Need: Help prevent hunger in Chaffee County.

Many of our neighbors are experiencing interruptions to food assistance, and action is needed now. Our local food security network is working double time to support more and more families. Please consider making a donation — and, even more importantly, volunteering your time — to ensure everyone in our community has access to nutritious food.
