Give A Damn Giving Society

The Give A Damn Giving Society is a Chaffee-based group of doers. Members commit to a $250 quarterly gift to learn about local causes, tackle emergent issues, and pool their funds to award one impactful grant each quarter. Meetups are low-pressure, social, and designed for people who want to make a difference.

How to Enroll:

  • Sign-Up for a quarterly reoccurring gift of $250

  • Once you enroll, you’ll receive an invitation to the quarterly gathering and a vote on the giving pool grant opportunities.

  • You must be present at the gathering to vote.

  • Enrollment is based on household - any members of the household may attend. One vote per household.

How do I join? Just click on the “Enroll Here Button” above. You’ll be added to the invite list for upcoming quarterly gatherings.

How many members does Give A Damn have? The goal is 40 members. Give A Damn is actively recruiting members! The giving circle model is ideal for people who want a deeper connection to their community, but don’t have a ton of time or are not sure where to get started.

Where will the gatherings be held? The gatherings will be held at libation locations around Chaffee. If you know of a good spot with great drinks and space for 40 people to hear a few short presentations, please email us at GiveADamn@chaffeecommunity.org.

How are the causes picked for each gathering? The CCCF Team curates three high impact causes each quarter. If you have a cause you’d like to be considered, please email us at GiveADamn@chaffeecommunity.org. Causes must be 501c3 nonprofit organizations, registered as charitable entities in the State of Colorado and have an active presence in Chaffee County.

Can I pay with a check, QCD or another method? Enrollment must be completed with a quarterly reoccuring $250 donation on a valid credit card. Members or community members are welcome to make additional contributions through a variety of methods to augment the giving impact of the giving circle.

How do I vote on who gets the grant? Votes will be submitted anonymously in person at the gathering. One vote per household, but multiple members of your household can attend the event.

What if I can’t attend a meeting? Another member of your household can vote in your place, or you can check out what the group decides after the event!

If I don’t like the cause that’s selected, do I have to make my donation? The power of a giving circle is collective giving. The winning cause might not be your favorite, but you can be assured that all causes are carefully screening by CCCF for community impact.
